TAYLORCRAFT BF-50
Manufactured in 1938, this aircraft was modified for aerobatics in 1950 by Johnny Vassey. It is better known, however, for having been flown for many years by the famous author, barnstormer and air show pilot Duane Cole. It attended and flew at every EAA Fly-In Convention but two between 1953 and 1989, and is believed to have landed at more airports than any other airplane. When Duane Cole was selected for the USA World Aerobatic Team in 1962, this was the first light plane to cross the Iron Curtain into Communist Hungary.

EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh, WI, cordially invites you to Hops & Props, a fine food and beverage-tasting event. Sample over 250 different extraordinary beverages provided by micro-breweries and distributors from across the world. Learn about the brewing process, history, and become a discerning beverage taster.
Great music from several live bands, food from area restaurants, coffee and sweets all add to this exciting event at the EAA AirVenture Museum. Funds raised will support the community programming offered by EAA to residents in the Fox Valley.

“Little Wings, Big Dreams:
Sport Aviation in Miniature
The museum’s newest exhibit, “Little Wings...Big Dreams, Sport Aviation in Miniature” opened March 20 in the Gilbert H. Hansen Photography Gallery. This exhibit showcases the remarkable skills and imagination of model aircraft builders of various disciplines, including radio control, free-flight, control line and static models. Many EAA members began their interest in aviation by creating model planes. Through the years, that interest grew into aviation careers and fascination with full size aircraft. Several members have loaned their models to this exhibit, since they are still active modelers and enjoy sharing their enthusiasm for their hobby with others.
