Aircraft Outreach
Some of our vintage airplane collection is available for outreach activities. Our main outreach aircraft are:
Ford Tri-Motor
Our Tri-Motor is a popular attraction at air shows and aviation events in the Midwest, but only very exceptionally outside a 500-mile radius of Oshkosh. Appearances are normally funded through selling rides to visitors. Learn more about the Ford Tri-Motor and view the tour schedule.

Spirit of St Louis
EAA’s Spirit of St Louis replica is a popular attraction at aviation events around the country. Appearances are normally funded through an appearance fee based on the distance of the event from Oshkosh. The airplane is equipped with two seats, making media, VIP and sponsor rides a possibility in this unique airplane. Contact Sean Elliott for more information.

B-17 Aluminum Overcast
From Spring through Fall each year Aluminum Overcast tours the USA as an outreach activity. Working through the local EAA Chapter we visit about 50 cities annually, conducting ground tours and flight experiences. More information is available from the B-17 website. Unfortunately the busy touring schedule of the B-17 means it is very difficult to accommodate the many requests we receive for air show and fly-in appearances.

Other aircraft in the Museum’s flying collection may be available by special request. Details of which aircraft are currently on flying status can be found here. Contact Sean Elliott for more information. |
