EAA Golden Era / Vintage Biplane & Spirit of St. Louis Fantasy Flight Camp
October 3 - 5, 2008
Have you ever fantasized about flying a certain airplane or dreamed about becoming a part of history? Here is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly in EAA’s own reproduction of Spirit of St. Louis. Experience what it was like for legendary aviator Charles Lindbergh to fly this magnificent airplane, which changed the world forever when it flew non-stop across the Atlantic in 1927.
This weekend you’ll also become a barnstormer and feel the wind tugging at your clothing as it whistles through the wires of our vintage biplane collection. This unique, magical weekend immerses you in aviation’s Golden Era, topped off by flights in EAA’s 1929 Travel Air and 1927 Swallow vintage biplanes from historic Pioneer Airport. Join fellow campers at day’s end in the Air Academy Lodge, where the “hangar flying” stories only add to your unforgettable experience.

EAA Ford Tri-Motor Fantasy Flight Camp
October 17 - 19, 2008
EAA’s 1929 Ford Tri-Motor keeps alive the spirit of passenger transport’s early days. This program provides a new understanding and appreciation for one of aviation’s classic designs—affectionately referred to as the Tin Goose. A one-hour flight experience caps the experience, during which participants can log 0.2 hours at the controls.

EAA B-17 Fantasy Flight Camp
December 12 - 14, 2008
One of the most famous airplanes of World War II was the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. At the B-17 Fantasy Camp, you’ll be immersed in the stories aircraft’s history as you examine EAA’s Aluminum Overcast, one of only a few flying B-17s left in the world. Also meet veterans and pilots who flew actual missions in the aircraft, topped by your own 20-minute flight experience.
