Family Flightfest
March 8 - 9, 2008 —The third annual Family Flightfest attracted several hundred visitors the weekend of March 8 and 9th. Families had the opportunity to engage in multiple activities, including flight simulators, paper airplane contests and stamp scavenger hunts. Younger children had a great time “flying” the pedal planes and designing their own special aviator goggles. The Eagle Hangar was filled with modelers and R/C airplanes. Guests were treated to flying demonstrations of rubber-powered model airplanes, radio-controlled models and a huge flying blimp.
