Items Wanted
- We are always happy to receive donations of good quality parts for our collection of airworthy airplanes, particularly the B-17. Currently high on our “wants list” are gearboxes for B-17 bomb bay doors and a B-17 mid-upper turret.
- To assist with an enhancement to our Women in Aviation Exhibit we seek the following items:
- Costume items from a pre-WW2 female aviator
- Uniform from an early female airline pilot
- For exhibits use, donations of new PC computers, plasma monitors and LCD projectors are sought.
- Offers to donate original film stock shot before 1960 and showing aviation subjects would be most welcome.
- To help us develop the historic ambience of Pioneer Airport we seek donations of the following:
- Any 1920’s/30’s period vehicles (cars, motorcycles etc), ideally in working order
- A Ford Model T in working order
- Original 1920’s/1930’s costume items
- Original WW1 era rotary engines, in any condition
- A small old letter-press printing machine, suitable for making reproduction “Flying Circus” flyers.
- Any equipment used to repair or manufacture antique wooden propellers
